We are Lemongrass Media, a boutique web design agency with our Hertfordshire base in St Albans. Herts is where we started. Lemongrass was founded in Welwyn Garden City and we have worked with businesses across the county for over 15 years, from Watford and Hemel Hempstead to Hitchin, Hertford and Bishop’s Stortford. If your Herts business needs a website that brings in work, we would love to help.
Before any design work begins, we spend time getting to know your business properly. What do you do, who are you trying to reach and what does a good enquiry look like? Those questions shape everything, from the structure of the site to the way individual pages guide visitors towards taking action.
Our Hertfordshire clients include professional services firms, technology companies, financial consultancies and schools. The sector changes but the process does not.
Design without commercial purpose is decoration. We build every page with your ideal visitor in mind, thinking carefully about how they arrive, what they need to find and what should happen next. That thinking shapes everything from the homepage layout to the way individual service pages are structured.
Every site we produce is fully responsive and fast to load. Strong SEO foundations come as standard, including clean code, sensible site structure and proper use of search engine best practice. These are built in from day one rather than added as an afterthought.
We also make sure the sites we build are easy to manage. You should be able to add content, update pages and make changes without needing technical support. With our websites, you can.
One client saw a 285% increase in website users in the year after launch. Another achieved a 25% uplift alongside noticeably better engagement across the board. Those are not unusual results for us. When web design is done with a clear commercial purpose, the impact tends to show up in the numbers.
Many of our client relationships go back more than a decade. That happens because we are straight with people, we do what we say and we take a genuine interest in how our clients are getting on. We are not interested in handing over a website and disappearing. Your business will change over time and your website needs to keep pace. We make sure it does.
We know Hertfordshire well. We enjoy working with businesses here and want them to succeed.
We have designed websites for businesses across Hertfordshire and the wider Home Counties, working with professional services firms, technology companies, schools and organisations of all sizes. You can see a selection of our work on our portfolio page.
Every project starts the same way: a conversation. We want to understand your business properly before we suggest anything, so the first step is always a discovery call covering your audience, your goals and what success looks like for you.
Once we have that picture, we put together a proposal with a clear scope, timeline and cost. No surprises. When you are happy to proceed, design comes before development. You see and approve how the site will look before a single line of code is written.
From there we build, test across devices and browsers, and go live together. We are with you on launch day and available afterwards for support, updates and whatever the site needs as your business moves forward.

Predominantly corporate and professional services businesses, including consultancies, financial services firms, technology companies and schools. If you have a website that is underperforming, we are worth talking to regardless of sector.

Most corporate website projects take between eight and sixteen weeks from kick-off to launch, depending on the scope and how quickly content is supplied. We will give you a clear timeline before work begins.

Every project is scoped individually based on what you need. The best way to get a clear picture of cost is to have a conversation with us first. There is no obligation and no pressure.
