Coplan’s old website gave them no meaningful way to manage their own content, no clear user journeys and no digital presence that matched the quality of their products. Wayne Stant, Head of Marketing, brought the brief to Lemongrass Media: rebuild the site from scratch and create something the team could manage and grow themselves. The site launched in 50 working days.
About Coplan
Coplan designs and supplies precision foam inlays, shadow boards and protection products for manufacturing, aerospace, defence and automotive clients. Foam is cut to hold tools in exact positions. Missing or damaged items become immediately visible. The product range is used across some of the most demanding environments in UK industry.
Alongside the foam products, Coplan operates KIT, a cloud-based tool inventory platform that allows factories and workshops to track equipment, manage calibration, run audits and maintain compliance across multiple sites.
The Challenge
The old site had no real CMS. Each page took at least five minutes to update. New pages were close to impossible to create. There was no way to build a meaningful path through the site or connect visitors to content that helped them understand the product range and take the next step.

Wayne ran a thorough selection process, sharing a briefing document with several agencies including the incumbent. Lemongrass came recommended through an existing partner contact.
“What they said just really resonated with my vision for the site and the type of freedom and support I wanted. They’ve also been refreshingly honest right from the outset. I am not an expert and sometimes I do need my ideas sense-checking, and it is great to have that foil in a web design partner.”
The Solution
We rebuilt thisiskit.com from scratch on WordPress, with a clear structure covering both the Coplan foam product range and the KIT platform. Wayne and his team supplied the content and photography throughout.
The core requirement was that Wayne could manage the site himself going forward, updating pages and adding content without developer involvement for routine changes. That shaped the build from the start.

The Result
The site launched in 50 working days.
“Already we are seeing almost triple the number of visitors and our organic search results are way up.”
The more significant change has been in perception. Coplan operates in sectors where supplier credibility matters and procurement decisions are rarely quick.

The team are already building new functionality to push interactivity and lead generation further.
