St Bart’s is a high-achieving secondary school located in Newbury, Berkshire. Their previous website had grown outdated and cluttered, featuring an overwhelming number of pages housed within confusing menus. This made navigation challenging and administration cumbersome.

Our goal was to deliver a modern and visually appealing website, with all content and menus reorganised into an intuitive format that enhances usability and accessibility.

Working closely with the school, we showcased their history and alumni programme using interactive pages to present timelines, bios, photos and much more.

So much choice…

With so many subjects covered at different key stages, we need a way to for users to be able to filter by key stage but still be able to read around the subject from all aspects. Instead of splitting off key stage information on different pages, we’ve used tabs on subject pages so the school can give a broad overview of the subject and then give more detail on KS1, GCSE and Post-16, all on one page.

St Barts can now show off their school and facilities with an interactive aerial map – fantastic for prospective parents and students to get a feel for the layout of the school and where they’ll be studying.

What’s On?

Pulling data directly from the school’s Google Calendars, visitors can view, in real-time, everything that’s happening at the school and filter between different calendars such as Trips & Visits, and Sports.

Developing a Brand

We reworked the school’s logo and house logos over the course of several meetings, discussing fonts, colours, layouts and graphics. A full set of brand guidelines has been supplied and the newly-evolved logo is proudly displayed all around the school.
